we are a group of friends making music in san francisco and los angeles, inspired by diy — by the scenes born in basements and living rooms and sustained by people that put everything they have into making something of their own.

our songs are inspired by the journals we kept in high school and love letters we never sent. we’re a little older now and the world is more beautiful and horrifying than we ever could have imagined when we were kids. nothing is the same. people change.
life ends and starts again.

we owe so much to our coming-of-age years. to the lives we made as brothers. to our parents who worked so hard to hold everything together. to growing up outside. to our family across the border. to our parents who showed us how beautiful life could be.

school was hard. we never fit in. we were bullied every day for being queer before we even knew they were right. we were raised in the suburbs. we didn’t know who we were then. but we never belonged there. we learned to exist between different worlds. i dreamed of a life in the city when i was a kid. i knew exactly how i wanted it to feel.

we started high school and knew instantly we had to try everything we could. sneaking out and lighting christmas trees on fire, stealing wine and painting on school rooftops and learning to kiss and playing our first shows and experimenting with drugs and skating every day as fast as we could and we felt like we could do anything in the world if we could just hold onto the feeling for long enough. the kind that you get when your heart flutters at a show and it blows your mind to pieces and you end up staying up all night with your friends until the sunrise because you don’t ever want it to end.

we spent years losing our minds until the days we chose to put them back together. we moved to LA after we graduated and our world opened up to so many new ideas and music and people. it took us such a long time to bloom. to be friends. brothers. we saw how scary the world could be. how much we needed each other. how much we wanted the world to change. we owe everything to who we were when we were kids.
